whatever the meaning, it has to be properly conveyed. naakka mukka doesnt do it.

as vairamuthu once said of NIs singing tamil songs, "Paadagar Uditha narayanan (Udit narayan) 'naan piriyamana pennai rasithal thappille' endru ezhudiyadhai "Periyamma pennai rasithal thappille" endru paadivittar"


I mentioned this before, but don't mind repeating. In one of his books, Kannadhasan complained about the bagavathars. An example given was for this line:

Enggo manam selluthey.

The bagavathar sang, "En Komanam selluthey".
