Like Pandiraj's debut film "Pasanga", "Marina" also revolves around children, focusing on the uneducated ones. The film will be a mirror that reflects the lives of children at the marina beach, who sell snacks and goodies at beach side stalls and are deprived from luxuries and basic needs. It is said to be inspired from Mira Nair's critically acclaimed Hindi film "Salaam Bombay!" in 1988 and stars Siva Karthikeyan in his feature film debut.
