I didn't watch many films this year. Still out of the films I watched, definitely Yuddham Sei, Aadukalam (not sure, if this will be counted for this year or last years as it has already been awarded for last year) and Azhagarsaamiyin Kuthirai tops my list.

Azhagarsaamiyin kuthirai may not have great twists and great humor, but somehow I felt that there was whole life and soul in that film. Beautiful story by Bhaskar Shakthi and faithfully (whatever extent possible) reproduced by Susheedran. The village and all the characters etched in my mind. Some excellent dialogues, natural acting, great direction and wonderful music enhanced the film to newer levels and kept me engaging every moment. But the most disappointing part is, it is so under-rated. No one knew this film, but whoever I recommended this fim, were very happy and at the same time felt guilty that these films never came to their attention and thanked me for introducing this gem, otherwise an unknown film, that says it all.
