It was an appealing movie for me though I related it to English Adventure movies like 'Rambo' Etc. I had always maintained that SPJananathan to be a fake after reading his interview on going to sue SLB for Copying his movie 'Iyarkkai' into 'Saawariya', Since both the movies were based upon the storyline Of Dostoevsky's 'White Nights'. His 'E' was Ok. When my friends insisted to watch the movie I was reluctant Maintaining that 'SPJ' was a fake. But I was stunned at the craft of filmmaking in 'Peraanmai'. It is a neat story with a linear plot aided with good amount of technical expertise. After watching the movie I confessed to the friends that I take back my words and this is his best movie till date with an intriguing and engaging plot.

Some of the comments in the page say that the movie starts of with the title as a Tribute to 'The Dawns Here are Quite' by 'Boris Vasilyev'. Now if someone else makes the movie in Hindi he is going to be sued by SPJ for Copying
