If someone reads English crime novels even by not-so-highly-rated writers (i.e. those that I've read like Sidney Sheldon, J H Chase etc), Sujatha's "crime novels" won't be all that impressive for the story itself. OTOH, the nadai is phenomenal (I'm reminded of so many Ganesh-Vasanth conversations).

However, whenever he stepped out of crime (i.e. in writing stories or non-fictions), he was hitting sixers for every ball, IMO
