I think Simran is the ONLY one in late 90's till early 2000 to prove her self, imported as Glamour girl turned to be an excellent actress, may be kushboo, was good in the early 90s,

but I think Tamil Film industry gives far more important to Bollywood dolls than Tamil actress

, mostly bollywood rejected girls end up in kollywood.
