So, is this not a remake of Mammootty's 'Big B'? I remember reading contradictory news reports on this being a remake of that Malayalam film.

Big B is a completely different movie and it is a remake of the English movie 'Four Brothers' - but presentation/camera was sleek in Malayalam and it was an average hit i guess.
