I think you are being a bit genteel about Goundamani. Agreed , he is not consistent but whoever asks for unconditional subscription ? When the going is good the chap is all that you can ever ask for and more. In my opinion he is heads and shoulders above anybody else ! I guess that sounds a tad bit sweeping but then it's just MY opinion
