Pasumpon.
Paathuttu I started crying Even today I avoid listening to songs from that movie because it reminds me of that scene.
Radhika plays the lead role and Prabhu is her son. Radhika's first husband (Prabu's father) dies and she remarries . The mother son relationship breaks up and Prabhu starts living with his maternal grandfather. He starts avoiding her and throughout the movie Radhika yearns for a reconciliation just like the way when he was a kid. This doesn't happen till the very end . Radhika is now bed stricken and her days are drawing to close. The elders of the house ask Prabhu to do his final duty he owes to his mother as her son. Inga oru semma emotional song play pannuvanga .' Vaada Thangam vaada ....' . I was inconsolable because one of my close friends passed away at the same time and I was not on speaking terms with him at that time.
He was ill and I was hoping he will get better . He was alright and cheerful when I went to his house to enquire about his well being . If there is one movie which changed my attitude towards life and people then this is it . This movie changed me totally and its climax will remain the best for me forever.
