But, Veerapandiya Kattabomman is all legend, no history. The makers obviously didn't seem to have any inclination to show how it all could have happened. And, yes, I completely agree with PR's point. Most times, we just don't know enough. I'd say, Ketan Mehta's 'Mangal Pandey' is a good example of a film that's made in such a realm.
