Women in tamil cinema have more often than not been potrayed as these weak simpering characters without a thought in their heads.For this reason alone I like characters which potray women and individuals with an ability to think.That list includes

Revathy in Pudhumai Penn
Lakshmi in Samsaram adhu minsaram
Radha in mudal mariyathai
