I felt the remake of Okkadu, "Gilli" was much better, because it wove in all aspects of a fun, masala entertainer, wheras Okkadu was purely racy. However, Vijay's power-packed performance and Dharani's amazing changes added to the already great package. Vaseegara did not however live up to expectations. Jeyam was also excellent in Tamil as much as in Telugu. Ajith fans, do you know that Unnithedi was actually a spin off from the Hindi blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge starring Sharukh and Kajol. However, Unnithedi did not compare with that mega-hit.
