I believe every temple is built symbolically like a Vaastu Purusha. But what is the significance of placing Kalasas on the Gopurams? I believe the kalasas are filled with water (holy river water?) which lasts for 12 years time by when the water evaporates! Is it true? I shall be grateful for details...
