Talking about Mahabharat..go see the movie Avengers. I dont know if I am obsessed with Hinduism but somehow the story line looks very Mahabharat to me. Firstly there are 5 men and 1 woman who are fighting the evil Loki who has a bigger and stronger army. One of the 5 men is the Hulk who only uses brute strength and doesnt think much always filled with rage(reminded me of Bheema). One is an Archer(expert marksman) and the woman warrior known as Black Widow has a soft corner for him(reminded me of Draupadi and Arjuna). The female warrior somehow has a sway over all the 5 men. They do take advise from her too. Initially the Archer wanted to fight Loki but when Loki paid him a surprise attack, Loki manages to control the Archer's mind and the Archer does NOT fight Loki. Then after much convincing and when the mind control effect of Loki wears off the Archer is ready to fight. That part reminded me of the despondency of Arjuna in the battle of Mahabharat. Then there is Iron man and Captain America(well you can make them Nakul and Sahadev) There is also Thor(one of the 5 men) who is related to Loki(Loki and Thor are brothers). Both Loki and Thor are sons of Gods and they are Demi Gods. So the war is mainly between Thor and Loki cos Loki wants to conquer the world to show Thor that he is greater to him. Sounds very much like Duryodhana and Yudhisthira to me. Ok next they get all their instructions from Samuel Jackson who is their commander and guides these 5 men and 1 woman to save the world. So Samuel Jackson's role is like Lord Krishna. Go see it ..wonder if you get the same feel.
