I am not saying ban tAli for everyone. Those who do not want to wear it later should avoid it in the first place, Wear a big gold ring studded with diamond. That way the jewelers will not be denied their take.
I am saying liberate yourself right at the beginning.

Then we have to follow Arya Samaj way of wedding sans Thali.
Out here the TB priest will get a heart attack if we do away with the Thali.
Some priest also wonder why some of us tie a gold chain right away and not yellow string.
