When I was in Manipal there was a UmaMaheswara Shiva Temple.
It was situated near a jungle area and next to a water fall.
It had a big beautiful Shiva Linga.
Hearing the sound of the water flowing down the water fall had a very calming effect.
Some of us used to visit the temple when the crowd was very less just to enjoy the sound of the water.

But even though it was a Shiva Temple you could never find Vibuthi.
Only Chandan used to be given.
