I was somewhat shocked when I saw it had happened on your wall, given that you seemed so happy together for quite a while.

I would be wary of buying any durable goods with the money I viewed as "saved" from the breakup. It would have the potential to serve as a reminder every time you used it perhaps. Kinda like if you carried the engagement ring around with you or something like that. (Though maybe this is a good thing. Next time a 20 yo gives you her number you will remember the potential problems there while entering it into your contacts lists?)

Net and I have a ton of differences. The biggest is religion, but for me it's not an issue at all and for her doesn't seem to be a deal breaker. The maturity level definitely is in her favor though in our case...
Well, you know... on Facebook you tend not to air all of your dirty laundry . There was also the fact that when we aired disagreements, I felt like "great we worked that out" and she was like "OMG, we had another disagreement - can't we agree on anything!!1!"

Differences are one thing, of course. Having little to no common interests making the conversation a bit boring is another.

Aren't you a lawyer with 5+ years of experience? Why are you so poor?
There is someone on this site who doesn't know I work for the US government?
