i have seen a documentary called "the lost temples of india".. in that docu, they explain a theory behind the mystery of this cap stone atop the raja gopuram.. it seems a ramp was built to roll this stone into its place.. this was actually told by the current heir to throne to the people who made the docu.. a part of this ramp is still there it seems.. and with the current angle, it exactly touches the cap stone if extended... Great to hear ... has somebody seen the ramp remains ? Even if we are looking at an angle for building a ramp ... it would definitely extend to the adjacent village atleast to create such a ramp ...
