SRS,
Good to hear abt this Dr. Kak & his devotion to Indian history/science!
Ironically, it seems those who truly r interested in our culture/history r the ones who r miles far away abroad, from our country!
Yes Lambretta, it is unfortunate that Indians in India do not try to preserve the history. Like Dr. Kak said, there was no Indian "enlightenment." Instead Indian history became distorted in the myths promoted by the Western imperialists, especially Aryan Invasion Theory. The imperialism went away, but the ideas it promoted are still alive and well. As Dr. Kak has said, only now the full extent of these lies are being revealed. Westerners have been receptive, but many Indians seem to hold their own agenda! We will see the outcome.
