nOkkar,

In order to see unicode tamil, i dont have to re-engineer my workstation. And unicode is compatible with Windows 2000/XP. But to use TSCII i have to use the tools(e-kalappai) you mentioned. Imagine me sitting in a public computer. Do you want all your thamizh readers to install software whereever the go? I dont need to go through the pain of installing software/fonts in a public computer if you use unicode. And remember, unicode is a non-profit international organisation. And folks please be proud that Tamil apart from Hindi is the only indian languages compatible with the unicode interface in Windows 2000. so for all reasons unicode is a blessing for us compared to other proprietiery tamil fonts.
