Here's the most comprehensive glossary of scientific, technical and academic words in Tamil I've ever seen:

The "pothu theduthal" and "pothu pattiyal" links at the bottom are particularly useful! If you can't see the Tamil text, you can download the fonts you need here (you only need the first one). After a couple of hours of browsing, I'm still in raptures.
