anandha vikatan indeed was very critical of A.R.Rahman during his early days, particularly after Gentleman.... Infact for Karuthamma review they had mentioned, that the weakest link of the film is A.R.Rahman's music

ARR after several years mentioned that this review had hurt him a lot...coz personally he loved his work for Karuthamma... and especially the poraale ponnu thaayi tune...
