Plot may be similar. It is not. There is a difference too. IN Minnlae, he starts loving that girl even before knowing that she is about to be engaged / going to marry someone else.
Whereas Kaadhal Mannan dealt it much more seriously. He starts loving that girl in the engagement hall :P Any minor flaw could have made KM a controversial movie. Minnale on the other hand dealt with that in the usual cinematic way. I mean.. Loving a girl in the name of her financee.

IMO, Difference between Minnalae and KM are much more ! yupp.... comparing Minnale & Kadhal Manan is something like comparing Indian & Anniyan.... the simularity is there...but the whole package is diff...... is my example correct
