DT,

My old man lost his dad in the battle of Crete and my other grandfather served in the navy in WWI and the merchant navy in WWII. He didn't talk about the wars much but what he did say was that after a while he stopped making friends since they'd only die. He also had a massive hatred for the slit-eyed mongrels as he called them. Add to all of that my grandmother lost three of her brothers in WWI but nothing was really mentioned about them. So yeah my ancestors stuck up for their dig even when they were on what has proved to be the wrong side.
