If they aren't forcing us to drink it, why then is it in our water?
That wasn't my point but rather the council water supply is an option, you don't have to accept if you feel it is against your cultural or religious background. I'm just telling you what they would tell you in court.

What are we supposed to drink and bathe in then?
Rain water? River water? Are there not other options open to you at all? My parents holiday home uses 100% rain water for everything it needs and it used 9 months of the year by friends and family without any problems. We have a large water tank out the back on legs which stores the water for when it is needed.
