Indeed, but many view buddhism as a religion. I see some buddhist monk worshipping money just like some churches. In my opinion Buddhism is more about philosophy then a religion. If you want to know how Jesus studied buddhism check out the movie, the man from earth. Jesus was a disciple or Buddha. View it with an open mind and you'll be rewarded with it.
