You are absolutely right. These atrocities have no place in Islam or any other religion. To do it in the name of Islam just saddens me and misrepresents and distorts the religion of Islam. Where in the Quran you find these verses and a majority of the billion Muslims hold dear :

"kill one innocent being and it is as if you have killed the whole of mankind"(Quran)

"save one being and it is as if you have saved he whole of mankind"
(Quran)

Be rightly guided and if you are interested , just ask the Creator , the Almighty who will be just n merciful. Ask Gid this. Be sincere when you are asking.
