its really very sad and bad testimony that these priests did what they did.

Many people join certain professions, groups and movements for many different reasons, not all of them noble.

Some may join for the money, the status, the power , the perks and such benefits , when ideally the reason should be to contribute and of course to earn a decent and honest living.

The Church is also subject to this. Many people join for the wrong reasons. Some even start with good intentions but later yield to temptation.

But friends please remember that many many more are honest and are doing this to answer what they feel is their calling.
Many priests did very bad things but many more do good work and make people's lives better.

They are human too and are subject to falling into sin and error just like us.
In the end they will have to answer to the law if caught and later to a higher Authority.
