RACE 1
Not a bad race to kick off the day. Juwel (3) is in excellent form and can keep the good work going. All three wins to date have been on the Polytrack and from a good draw should make a bold bid. Lucky Diamond (6) has just been touched out at his past two outings and from a better draw this time should be thereabouts again while Queen’s Avenue (2) returned to form with an impressive win last time and can carry on the good work again. Zac Nirvana (4) was doing his best work in the final stages when resuming and fitter this time around should make a bold bid.
RACE 2
A confusing race with four of the 10 runners having their first starts while there is not a lot of disclosed form among those that have raced. Ace Allotroped (1) is one that has raced and he performed solidly on debut. He gets onto the turf track here and from a good draw should go close. Gold Streak (4) makes his debut but did trial nicely at his only outing while Higgs Boson (5) has had plenty of education including three trials and has steadily improved on each occasion. Kirk (7) covered ground in his trial before finishing third and is in the hands of Laurie Laxon.
RACE 3
Ultra-consistent Trafalgar Legacy (3) gets his chance here. His four runs since arriving in Singapore have all been solid without having tasted success. He’s drawn nicely here and should be tough to stop. Power Blitz (1) ran well on debut making a stack of ground. He’ll strip fitter and the extra ground is a plus while Solid Wood (5) broke his maiden status in good style last time and although back in distance here can be expected to run a forward race. Chief Secretary (4) is rarely too far away in his races and the 2.5kg weight drop this time around will suit him ideally.
RACE 4
An open race. Who Els (10) has been racing consistently since his win over this trip three starts back and should be tough to stop. Daring Youth (7) is ultra-consistent and deserving of a win while Rollin Rich (6) can be a little difficult to follow but on his best form should make a bold bid. Equience (8) is rarely too far from the money and from a good draw should be in this for a long way.
RACE 5
A good competitive race. There was a lot to like about the debut win of Simply The Best (12). He sprinted clear in the straight from a handy performer and Joao Moreira has stuck with the gelding here. Kennecott (11) has performed solidly in his only three outings and did look the goods with a stylish win last time while Yoyo (10) streaked away from his rivals last time in recording a comfortable win and should again make a bold bid here. Lady Trio (5) is coming off a spell, but did win impressively on debut here in Singapore at this trip and looks hard to toss.
RACE 6
A small field but highly competitive.
Tobias (4)
has won two of his last three starts and should again give a bold sight. The small field may ensure a lack of speed and while still down in the weights he may be hard to run down.
Volpista (5) made a stack of ground last time and will appreciate the step up in distance here while Risky Business (1) is racing in good form with a win and two thirds from his last three starts and won’t be too far away again. Storm Chispazo (2) is a former Argentinean galloper who has trialled nicely for his debut and should not be dismissed.
RACE 7
Not an easy race. Jeremy (2) is lightly-raced but has been showing plenty of ability. He boxed on gamely after riding the speed last time and the step up in distance here shouldn’t pose a problem. Scipio (1) didn’t enjoy a lot of luck last time. Both his runs in Singapore have been solid and he looks suited over the extra ground while Dolce Vita (5) finished gamely last time over this trip and with Joao Moreira on board cannot be dismissed. Radar O’Reilly (8) has performed soundly at his past couple of outings and won’t be too far away here.
RACE 8
There doesn’t look too many chances. Ninth Avenue (2) is racing in great heart and looks well placed in this line-up. He scored in good style three starts back and has since backed it up with two solid second placings. Drawing off the track shouldn’t pose any problem. Steel Cut (8) is honest but finding it hard to break through. He looks to have found a suitable race while Nero Grotto (7) was successful over this trip in May and while his recent form is moderate could be an improver here. Cruise Home (5) has failed to fire in two runs since a break but is fitter now and could improve sharply here.
RACE 9
A drop in weight should be favourable for Kirin Arising (8). He scored a good win three starts back and has since backed it up with two sound performances. Coming in here with 52kg makes plenty of appeal. Jamal Malik (1) looked the goods two starts back before an even effort last time. He’ll make a bold bid back to this trip while Stanzout (4) has been ultra consistent and is sure to again figure prominently. Seacrest (7) is back in form with a strong win last time and can be expected to give a bold sight again.
RACE 10
Hard to go past Rocket Man (1). Although giving away plenty of weight to his rivals, he looks well primed for a first-up tilt having had three trials in preparation for his return. He looks the one to beat. Bionic Boy (6) is a gutsy performer who is in receipt of 9kg from Rocket Man. He goes well on all surfaces and will give a big sight while Capablanca (2) is nine years of age but is still racing consistently and won’t be far away at the business end. Ntini (3) is right down in the weights this time around and is sure to make a bold bid over his favoured trip.
RACE 11
Back to the 1100m is going to suit Cabrera (6). Still a maiden after 11 starts, he has been placed in eight of them but keeps finding a couple too smart. He’s down further in weight here and should be hard to stop. Lockdown (3) has found form with two solid second placings at his past two starts and can go one better here while Doremi La (1) resumed with a solid second placing and is expected to make a forward showing here. Magician (7) is rarely too far away and although this is tougher with no weight after the claim for Koh Teck Huat he should make a bold bid.
RACE 12
The last on a big day of racing. Dabble (3) chased the in-form Tobias home at his latest outing. He’s since been freshened and back to the 1400m trip here looks ideal. Blitz (11) has found top form with two solid wins. Although up in grade he will be suited by the weight drop while All Elusive (1) found the Derby beyond him last time and following a freshen and being back in distance he should make a bold bid. Afriend (7) is stepping up in distance for the first time but looks a promising galloper and cannot be discounted.
