My mate is a Moroccan Muslim. He likes a laff and a few cans of brew. He believes in God and goes to Mosque when need be. He doesn't pray five times a day but he does adhere to some other Islamic rules. If push came to shove and he was presented with the options of become like the Taliban or chuck the whole thing, he'd chuck it. Is he a moderate Muslim?

In Islam, he would be considered no better than a Muslim apostate aka
a bad Muslim.
