No, it's not the same type of logic. It is no secret that converts (to any religion mind you) are often times more religious/fundamentalist/radical then people born into a religion. This is also true of secular people who one day become religious. At the very least, in my experience, these 2 groups are extremely judgmental and love to lecture.

Both generalizations are nonsense. Most converts to Islam are not terrorists and most men are not rapists.
