I think you might mean 'State Schools'?

Public schools, in Britain, are the fee-paying ones; like Eton, Marlborough, Westminster etc. etc.

The Government don't have an enormous input into these schools because they are independant. That's why they do all they can to close them down shrieking 'Privilege!' at every turn. Not so - these schools now comprise kids from all backgrounds whose parents just can't face sending them to a state school. They make sacrifices to afford the fees.

The public schools (i.e. fee-paying) won't have nonsense like this. I forsee their numbers growing
OK, public schools here are the free ones. Get with the program mate!!
