ah, what you didn't see was why.

the time out was given for continuing the argumentative line in the chat thread, not for anything posted in the thread.

in the past threads have been closed, then reopened when the ongoing discussion in the chat thread was on topic and not personal. the chat thread posts were moved into the thread and healthy discussion continued.
