Default Magnesium alloy corrosion protection
I've got a couple of magnesium alloy engine covers on one of my bikes that I need to coat to keep them looking pretty and stop them corroding.

I tried engine enamel but it just flaked off within a few weeks.

What processes can I use? Can they be anodised, passivated, dipped in some kind of solution or just some special paint ?
