I haven't read every post in this thread, so i don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but...
...i've seen lots of 3-d sonar stuff, and i've
never
seen one that showed the insides of something.
Maybe they've developed a sonar which can transmit sound waves which
don't
reflect off the outer shell of something solid, but penetrate past that, then reflect back off the numerous internal surfaces in a highly discretionary set of ways, and out again through the outer shell, to a remote receiver, presenting a coherent picture of the multifarious surfaces, angles, and voids inside the object.
But, i wouldn't bet on it, even if i was using your money.
