You may not be aware of this, but the Buddha had at least 4 words for love. Filial affection (piya), friendship (mitta), sexual (raga) and unconditional (metta-karuna-upekka).

Speculatively, the ancient Greeks possibly derived their understanding of eros, philia and agape from Buddhism
