I think that people cling on to the notion of how precious human life is so that their own life seems more meaningful and precious. This selfishness causes many people to suffer needlessly on their deathbed.

To cause somebody else to suffer in pursuit of your own selfish desires is morally wrong in my opinion.

Mercy killing is wrong as one is under the delusion that there is a "person" to kill.

Suffering is real whether the self is or not.
