perhaps is in my culture from my race and perhaps death is worldwide accepted as a fearfull event .
I think I'm correct in saying that the majority of people do have some fear of death so you could consider this to be a normal human response.

Perhaps fear of the un-known Are you fearfull of what will happen tomorrow as that is also the unknown?
