Consciousness, as I know it, is cognition at the sense bases. Which is why the Buddha talked about 6 types of consciousness. How can sensory cognition be a flow or a stream? How can it be otherwise? Is it a fixed entity? Am I missing something? (That's very possible. I'm running a fever atm.)
