The only concern I have is that I'm thinking of going to the same temple, one close to my house. It would be easier if I had an accepting family like that. It's quite hard to get anywhere when everyone you are surrounded by is fundamentalist Christians, but I'll make it work. It'll be hard to convince my parents to allow me to go to full ordination, but all things in time.
If that's the case then I recommend you don't ordain at the temple close to your home.

If you are thinking long term this time then a short flight half way across the world shouldn't be a barrier, being in a foreign environment might do you good.

I understand that ordaining more than 3 times is considered "bad luck" at least in Thailand, I'm not sure if novice ordinations count though.
