It seems to me, on further reflection, that we already have mind-consciousness implied at the first link (ignorance), because there has to be something that is capable of being either ignorant or enlightened. A non-sentient object, say a rock, isn't "ignorant" -- the term simply doesn't apply.

What do you think?
