To me, this poem speaks of the Amata (Deathless) Dhamma in which teaching and transformation carries on...reminds of what I have read below...

Now the Blessed One spoke to the Venerable Ananda, saying:
"It may be, Ananda, that to some among you the thought will come: 'Ended is the word of the Master; we have a Master no longer.'
But it should not, Ananda, be so considered.
For that which I have proclaimed and made known as the Dhamma and the Discipline, that shall be your Master when I am gone. http://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipit...087x.wlsh.html
He who sees Dhamma, Vakkali, sees Me; he who sees Me sees Dhamma.
Truly seeing Dhamma, one sees Me; seeing Me one sees Dhamma." http://tipitaka.wikia.com/wiki/Agganna_Sutta
He whose faith in the Tathagata is settled, rooted, established, solid, unshakeable by any ascetic or Brahmin, any deva or mara or Brahma or anyone in the world, can truly say:
'I am a true son of Blessed Lord, born of His mouth, born of Dhamma, created by Dhamma, an heir of Dhamma.'
Why is that? Because, Vasettha, this designates the Tathagata: 'The Body of Dhamma'
