Greetings Stuka,

It seems a lot like a person who uses the word "nigger" all the time trying to dictate what constitutes "respect" for African-Americans...
I concur.

This is where traditions like Sangharakshita's sect formerly known as the FWBO fall over... by being accepting of any and all Buddhist doctrine, they must necessarily accept and tolerate the divisive and sectarian super-sessionism inherent in the later traditions. Whilst it seems nice and fluffy on face value to be accepting of anything and everything said in the name of Buddhism, it's harmful when the Buddha's own teachings become relegated to the status of "inferior" "garbage" (both of which happen to be definitions for the word "hina")

Metta,
Retro.
