I must disagree with both Richard Gombrich and Leigh Brasington that "Union with Brahma" as a metaphor for Nibbana.

Hi Element,
Do you figure the sutta means union with the limited god Brahma?

Have you ever encountered any reference to Brahman in the suttas? It's a main plank of Hinduism which doesn't seem to get touched upon, as far as I can see.
