Default Amaravati Kathina and Taking Leave of Luang Por Sumedho
Sadly I was unable to go to this event, which was apparently attended by 1000 people. Ajahn Sumedho is retiring in Thailand.

Amaravati Kathina and Taking Leave of Luang Por Sumedho by the Lay Community

There's a link to Ajahn Sumedho's farewell Dhamma talk in the brief article at the link.

I liked this comment he made:

" The Buddhist teaching is ultimate simplicity and it takes things to the the most simple level of pure awareness -and that's so simple that most people never really get it. We have to make Buddhism more complex -especially for lay people!"
