I just thought I'd mention why I think joy and emptiness are related and why I posted to this thread.

When people talk about emptiness, to me, it brings up a negative connotation, like perhaps "meaningless" rather than "emptiness" and "emptiness" sounds very nihilistic. However, I think "emptiness" is a state of joy, and on other Theravadan lists, has been explained as such. So, basically, I'm talking about the nature of emptiness, which is joy. Hope that makes sense.
