I dont understand why we are attracting only people who want to promote their websites and spam us to death...

for a chance, do participate properly without indulging in shady spammy stuff.

I wish I could provide you with an answer. I have reduced my writings because of this reason.
What I write finds no reactions from others. To be frank I don't like jokes borrowed from the internet. I have read them all long time ago and they don't make me laugh any more.

I hardly see any member writing their own stuff may be because to copy and paste you don't need to be intelligent and not much education is necessary.
