It is indeed quite sad that things are like what it is. Part of the problem lies in the spammer prevention system that is in place. I have set it to disable spammers based on ip address. What this means is, almost 50% of ip's from India are in the list of known spammers.
So even if someone genuine wants to register they cannot do so, because their ip would be in the known spammer list and the registration would be denied.
Obviously i can remove this restriction but that would mean the number of spam posts and registrations would increase a lot.
Secondly, i am not comfortable with providing an incentive because once an incentive system in place people would then "expect" something for each and everything they do here. This is something that i do not want to encourage.
i am working on an advertising thing offline which should get us some good traffic. But i have been extremely busy with other stuff and personal life which has not allowed me to tackle this.
But yes, i will get that sorted out soon and by the next few months we will have something good going.
But for now, i will remove the ip address stuff so that registrations happen.
