Nous: noos with a short oo, not a long one as in noose

Septuagint: SEPT'ooagint (hard g as in gate). The word is derived from the Latin, as far as I know. The Greek term is κατά τους εβδομήκοντα (kata tous evthomikonta in phonetic spelling), which means according to the Seventy.
