I will assume you want tips on how to not procrastinate in class, as opposed to in general.
Best way I found was to take notes constantly. When you're actively doing something, you're less likely to get distracted/lose interest/whatnot. This method works extremely well if your lecturers provide you with half filled-in notes and force you to pay attention in class in order to fill in the rest.
In first year, most people take "core subjects" which are fundamental to multiple degrees. As such, stuff sometimes becomes boring because it's not the specialised stuff you really are interested in. During later years, you split off into your own specialised areas, which hopefully is more interesting to you. For example, I major in Physics and I found first-year physics to be boring, but the biophysics course I took this year is really interesting to me.
Having friends who are studious also helps. It makes getting into that mentality a lot easier.
If worst comes to worst, you can always change degrees, whether to a similar area or something completely different.
